The brief called for a "yacht capable of remaining autonomous for long periods while exploring uncharted areas." Completed and launched. Superyacht SAMAYA, measuring 69 metres is a pure, custom Feadship. Designed with the owner's criteria for luxurious, global diving expeditions, the unrivaled expertise at Feadship De Voogt embraced the project wholly with their usual self-assurance evident throughout the three-year build.
"SAMAYA is quite individual in her furnishings, colours and with many technical, long range features," states Joshua Lee, Founder and Managing Director of Lee Marine, who introduced the owner to Feadship and oversaw the build from conception to delivery.
In addition to the expertise of Feadship's designers and naval architects, distinctive details were brought to life with the collaboration of Redman Whiteley Dixon (RWD), a well-known British team boasting a portfolio of some of the most prestigious yacht interiors in the world and with the owner's more personal finishings selected by Terracotta Interiors, a boutique Interior Decorating service from Switzerland led by Anne-Valerie Kohler.
M/Y SAMAYA's colour palette - a subtle lunar white reveals hints of soft pink during sunset hours, then bursts alive when immersed in varying light around the world. A teal coloured waterline, the matching tender's trim and teal dive-room floor all are reminiscent of a rare blue-green fish the owner spotted on a diving excursion.
All rooms, interior spaces and exteriors require the comforts and functionality of a home-away-from-home. M/Y SAMAYA has accommodation in six staterooms, including an owner's suite, four staterooms and a VIP suite where the owner's children lent a hand in the vibrant colour schemes and furnishings. Reflecting the owner's individuality and love of global ethnic cultures, Anne-Valerie Kohler chose authentic items combined with modern, striking decorations to create beautiful areas where your eye can never settle in one place. Ms Kohler's personal motto for decorating is, "your home should tell the story of who you are, and be a collection of what you love." This is certainly reflected in M/Y SAMAYA.

The owner's mission is focused on using M/Y SAMAYA as a platform for worldwide expeditions; contributing towards ocean conservation programs and solutions, while strengthening global awareness and education.
